- Our Space | EMERGE CENTER
EMERGE has two offices in Davis on Oak Avenue across from Davis High. Our space was developed by local designer Diana Mahoney to be lively, welcoming and youth friendly. EMERGE also offers in-person services in Vacaville, CA. OUR SPACE When therapists talk about creating a safe and welcoming space for clients, they are speaking metaphorically. We think a safe and welcoming space though is not just a metaphor, but a place where clients feel comfortable doing the challenging work of therapy. At EMERGE, most of our work is in-person, so it is important that our offices are inviting, soothing and comfortable for our clients and staff. The EMERGE building at 1621 Oak is our main site, with a suite of six offices and comfortable waiting room. Next door at 1627 Oak, the EMERGE Annex is a suite of two offices that was redesigned in 2026 to create a lively and engaging environment for children, teens and adults. Therapy Rooms at 1621 Oak Waiting Room at 1621 Oak Group Room at 1621 Oak Independent Practices at 1621 Oak The EMERGE building at 1621 Oak is an ideal space for therapists to work, connect and collaborate. Originally designed by the Davis Center for Psychotherapy (DCP), it includes five private offices, a large group room, waiting room, staff break room and staff bathroom. In addition to housing EMERGE staff, we are happy to share space with 15 independent mental health practitioners who are partners, friends and collaborators. These include: Martha Gilmore, PhD Louise Walker, PhD, LMFT Susan Cohen Byrne, LMFT Judith Watt, MD Nina Sreshta, MD Linda Hendricks, LMFT John Jervis, LMFT Dennett Hanssmann, MD Mary Diaso Rudy, LCSW Bethany Smith, LCSW Bethany Coburn, LCSW Cathy Tran, LCSW Kristina Schwerin, MD David Mendelmar, LCSW Rebecca Sawyer, LMFT появляться / əˈmərj / глагол вырваться из яйца, кокона или скорлупы

Explore therapy fees at Emerge for individual, family, and couples sessions, as well as group therapy options. We offer affordable rates, accept Medi-Cal for adolescent groups, and provide payment flexibility through check or credit card. Learn more about EAP and insurance and/or superbilling options. OUR PROCESS Whether our first contact is by email, phone or text, we will arrange some time to talk with you to better understand your needs. We will discuss treatment options and whether we have a therapist that is a good fit for you. If not, we are happy to recommend other providers. Assessment Session(s) The first 1-3 sessions are the assessment phase of therapy. We gather as much information as possible about your concerns, their history and what you have tried to address them. During this process, we will discuss our impressions of your situation and recommend a course of treatment and/or action. While it is hard to predict how treatment progress because there are so many variables, we will give you some idea of what to expect going forward. Ongoing Process and Feedback Assuming that your treatment involves ongoing sessions, the therapist will check in with you frequently to ensure that your concerns are being met. Discussing the process of therapy with you directly is not only good customer service, it is an essential ingredient of good therapy. Ending Therapy While it is your decision alone to end therapy, it is useful to discuss this openly as part of the therapeutic process for several reasons: If there are any concerns about your therapy, we may be able to address them The process of ending is a way to review progress on your goals and plan for the future Being thoughtful about ending can help us think about other options for your continued growth While therapy can go on indefinitely as a personal growth process, this should be a well thought out choice after specific areas of concern have been addressed.
